    WIB Mission Statement

    To undertake appropriate activities (including independent evaluations) in order
    to provide relevant information and tools which:

  • allow members optimally to specify, select, operate and maintain quality
    industrial measurement, control and automation instruments and systems,
    which are safe, reliable and economical;
  • stimulate manufacturers to develop and make available automation and process control technology and products which are fit-for-purpose.



    • Technical Scope

    WIB is active in the following areas:

  • flow, level, temperature and pressure measurements;
  • analytical instruments, environmental instrumentation;
  • systems and communications;
  • process control and safeguarding;
  • data management;
  • standards and practices.



    • Customer Base

    Members can be any organisation or industry worldwide, involved directly or indirectly with industrial automation, measurement and control equipment and systems.

    Excluded from membership are companies involved with the manufacturing, marketing or sale of the above equipment or systems for commercial purposes.
