What we do: The Functional Safety Working Group is part of the WIB and has the following purpose: 

• Broaden knowledge of industrial requirements and products as used by the members of the group
• Perform independent studies for selected applications and products based on predefined requirements and applications 
• Exchange of information and experience between members on the topic of Functional Safety and related components 
• Establish guidelines for the development and use of new products 
• Meetings with suppliers, manufacturers or third parties in order to promote the understanding and comprehension of new products, tools or standards 
• Publish articles / position papers on technical topics 

What we don’t do: Share prices, discuss vendors and talk about intellectual property.
